Who doesn’t love a bit of Thinking & Drinking?

Join us on 27 June for our Monthly Tavern Trivia !

This month, our trivia night will also be supporting one of our customers, Kathryn, to raise funds for the Leukemia Foundation.

Kathryn will be embarking on a long journey on the Kokoda Track in November, and $10 from every ticket will go toward her fundraising efforts. We’ll also hear a little but from Kathryn about her cause and the journey she will be taking.

The Tavern opens at 6pm, with trivia kicking off at 7pm sharp! So, grab some friends and come on down for dinner and drinks over some brain teasers!

A note from Kathryn

Hey Everyone,

My name is Kathryn and I am partnering with the Copper Dragon in their upcoming Trivia Night to raise funds for the Leukaemia Foundation. All money raised through this event will go directly to the Leukaemia Foundation so that they can fund further research, education programs and support those affected by leukaemia (the general name given to the group of cancers that develop in bone marrow).

A little bit about me and my history with the Leukaemia Foundation. While I have not known someone directly affected by leukaemia, I first decided to support the Leukaemia Foundation 15 years ago while at uni.  I saw the ads for their event ‘The World’s Greatest Shave’ and decided that my hair was something I was willing to sacrifice to help raise funds and awareness for those less fortunate. Since then I have participated in ‘The World’s Greatest Shave’ twice more, most recently last year. This year I am increasing the challenge rating of my support and hiking the Kokoda Track in Papua New Guinea in November.

How can you help me? Tickets for this month’s Trivia Night will be an extra $10 and there will be a donation box in The Copper Dragon in the week leading up to the event (and on the night) for any other contributions. I will also have a receipt book at the Trivia Night for anyone needing a receipt for tax purposes. Donations can also be made directly to my cause by following this link http://my.leukaemiafoundation.org.au/kathrynibbotson

Thank you so much in advance for helping me support the Leukaemia Foundation and I hope to see many of you at the Trivia Night!

Kind Regards,

Kathryn
